All trucks require regular maintaince in order to keep them running in top form, not only is it smart
to keep up on the condition of your equipment, but it is also the law. You must provide proof to the D.O.T that you are maintaining
your truck in good operating condition and that it is meeting all of the standards that are required for that vehicle to legally
operate on the road. It is easy enough to make sure you have you triangle kit, fire extinguisher and chock blocks in place,
but then there are things that you may not see everyday that put you and your truck at risk. At Truck Master Repair

The servicing of your truck or the oil change as it is called is the time at which your mechanic
gets to carefully go over your truck to see exactly what it needs to keep it in top running condition. Your oil should be
of the highest quality, oil not only lubricates you engine, it also cools it and suspends particles of contamination
till they are removed by the filter. The oil filter needs to also be of high quality as it traps all of the particles created
by the running of your engine so they do not damage it, the better the filter the better the filtration the cleaner the oil
remains the longer your engine will last and perform well, and increase you fuel mileage in the long run. In greasing your
truck it is best to use a high performance grease that works under extreme pressure and is waterproof. The main ingredient
of grease is oil, so therefore the more oil the better the grease, the other componets that make up grease are just as important
they handle the pressure as well as help to stop corrosion and to waterproof so the grease will not be washed away so
that in will stay in place to complete its work. Installing a additive in your cooling system such as Nalcool 3000 helps to
stabilize the system and keeping the Ph of the system as neutral as possible so you do not end up with a coolant that is slowly
eating up its own system and causing a possible engine damaging event. Belts should be adjusted to the proper tenison
so as to stop premature or improper operation. Brake systems should be inspected at each service so as to determine their
operation and life span. These are just a few of the many things that are inspected during a service performed by Truck Master
